Chief Scientist prepares a strategy for a better Australia

Australia’s Chief Scientist Professor Ian Chubb is developing an overarching strategy for Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) in Australia.

Today he released a brief outline of the Strategy to encourage discussion.

The focus of the Strategy will be STEM, but it is about Australia’s STEM enterprise operating with a `social licence’ that is built on a `compact’ with society.

“When fully developed and implemented, this Strategy will lead Australia into the future. The result will be a better, stronger Australia for all of our citizens,’’ Professor Chubb said.
