The Chief Scientist was interviewed by The Weekly Times about genetically modified organisms and the need for better communication of scientific research.

“If a government has appropriate regulation, appropriate controls in place and the science is conducted ethically, then the future is probably going to require us to have GM food,” Professor Chubb said.

“I think it’s up to scientists to get out there and explain more carefully why they do what they do, how they conduct their research, why that research might be important.”
