Kun completed her PhD at the University of Birmingham and then held a variety of appointments in the UK and China. These roles spanned gas turbine engine critical components and automotive ultra-high strength steel fields. More recently, she was a research fellow at Monash University focusing on ultrastrong titanium alloys through additive manufacturing. Kun has contributed to many high impact journal papers and industry projects.
