Dr Margaret Boettcher, 2023–24
Margaret is an accomplished earthquake scientist, whose career has been based at US academic and government institutions. Most recently, she led a large sea-going project to understand seismic cycles on a remote fault in the Pacific Ocean. Margaret is now eager to bring her scientific expertise into policymaking, where she hopes to make many valuable contributions Australian society.
Margaret is hosted by the Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water.
