Radio National Breakfast

Professor Chubbwas interviewed by James Carleton on ABC Radio National’s Breakfast programabout industry-research collaboration.

Carleton referred to a speech by Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull earlier this week, in which he cited OECD findings that Australia is near the bottom of world rankings for collaboration between businesses and researchers.

“The PrimeMinister got it exactly right,” Professor Chubbsaid. “We have to all adjust to the fact that we have to do things differently. We got through in the past for a variety of reasons, but the world that we’re moving into is completely different from anything that we’ve experienced in the past. The only way we’ll get through it prosperously, with prosperity to provide the sort of Australia we would like it to be, is to shift our culture.”
