Dr Hafna Ahmed

Hafna is a structural biologist interested in how biomolecules can be repurposed and engineered to help solve problems in healthcare, diagnostics, and environmental remediation. Her research at ANU and CSIRO has included diverse projects, such as identifying the mode-of-action of antimicrobials and anti-inflammatory drugs, understanding the structure and function of biosensing RNA and pigmented proteins, and designing plastic degrading enzymes.
