Matthew completed a PhD in upstream bioprocess engineering at the Australian Institute for Bioengineering and Nanotechnology following a chemical engineering degree. He then worked as a patent examiner in the bio-therapeutics area at Intellectual Property Australia and is now looking forward to contributing to science policy.
