Michele is a computational materials scientist specialising in simulating nuclear materials with density functional theory and molecular dynamics.  She has spent the last nine years living in the US, studying for her PhD and working as a postdoctoral research assistant at Pacific Northwest NationaLaboratory.  Before that, she was part of ANSTO's graduate development program and taught English in Japan.
