Pegah was awarded her PhD in organic electronics from the University of Queensland in 2016. She pursued a postdoctoral position at the Centre of Excellence in Exciton Science and then joined Swinburne University of Technology as a lecturer and Research Training Course Coordinator. Pegah served as Chair of the Women in Physics Group at the Australian Institute of Physics and led the Australian delegation at two International Conferences of Women in Physics.

Pegah is hosted by the Department of Education.
