The 13th meeting of the National Science and Technology Council was convened in Canberra on 14 September 2022. The meeting was chaired by the Hon Ed Husic MP, Minister for Industry and Science and Deputy Chair of the Council.
On Tuesday 4 October 2022, Dr Foley was honoured to receive an honourary Doctor of Laws at the Monash University Faculty of Science graduation ceremony.
Australia's Chief Scientist, Dr Cathy Foley, was part of a global discussion on Science and Technology as a driver for development during the Science and Technology in Society Forum 2022 in Kyoto, Japan on Sunday 2 October.
Dr Foley delivered the 2022 Stanhope Oration titled "Teaching for the Future" as an online address to the CONASTA conference on Tuesday 27 September 2022.
